Garmin Chartplotters

Garmin Radar

Garmin VHF, AIS, or XM radio

Garmin makes a plethora of different electrical components for communication, data collection, and music.  We have technicians that specialize in all of these different products.  We usually recommend sticking to one brand when it comes to boat electronics, however, for most of these devices, brand-specificity is not necessary  required, just recommended.  Our techs can walk you through the nuances of AIS transceivers or receivers and make a recommendation to you based on your boating needs.  Not only do our technicians know how to install these Garmin components, but, they also know how to use them.  We have technicians with years of offshore cruising sailboat experience and others who are avid fisherman or go-fast boat operators.  Each of these subsets require different types of electronics, and we can help you make those decisions or outfit you with the proper Garmin electronics if you’ve already decided.

Garmin transducers

Installing transducers can be a significant project - whether you are drilling holes in the bottom of your boat, or routing wires from your transom through the entire boat back to the plotter, we can assist with these projects.  Our technicians are experienced at not only drilling holes into boats - definitely something that takes some getting used to - but also running wires from transoms and helping to determine the right transducer for your boat type and for your boat use.  Garmin offers a number of different options and we are able to troubleshoot existing transducers that aren’t performed to standard, update the settings on your hardware so that they are being used as they should, or install brand new systems where necessary. Garmin Autopilot Calibration

Autopilots are complicated systems that are essential to the safe operation of offshore boats.  Garmin make a number of different autopilot systems depending on the steering set up in your boat and we are proficient at installing and repairing all of these systems.  Whether you are operating with hydraulic steering (and autopilot) or a Garmin fly-by-wire system we are fully capable of installing and troubleshooting.  These systems are essential for boats that go offshore for long periods of time or boats that operate with limited crews.  We have techs that can fix these systems and techs with vast experience using them to solo-sail long distances over days, even while sleeping, or techs who captain yachts going far and wide that require them to remain at the helm for long periods.  These systems are complicated to install and calibrate, but essential on many boats.  Give us a call.  We are experts in this area.
